Our programs and summer camps allow youth to paddle the beautiful Alouette River and experience the serene nature, half an hour from downtown, Vancouver BC.
About Alouette Paddling Club
The Alouette Paddling Club was founded in 2017 by the Head Coach, Brian Hammer. The club provides a place for all people, but especially children, adolescents, and young adults to learn new skills, take responsibility, learn leadership and be encouraged through the fun sport of canoeing and kayaking.
We offer appropriate programs that meet the physical, mental and developmental growth of the participants. Through implanting knowledge of fair play, sportsmanship, good citizenship and self esteem we strive to influence all who paddle with us. Experience nature on the Alouette River in BC, Canada!

Summer Camps
Alouette Paddling Club runs week long summer camps for kids. They will paddle canoes, kayaks and many other different boats. Camp days are structured to pack the most about of fun and learning into each day. With both on and off water activities kids will learn how to propel and steer boats, water safety, new skills and will gain confidence in themselves and their ability.

Programs + Group Bookings
We welcome Businesses, Cub Scouts, Girl Guides, Community groups, and all others that would like to come out and paddle as a group. At the Alouette Paddling Club we emphasize safety and enjoyment. For safety, all paddlers are required to wear a personal flotation device at all times.
All of our instructors are properly trained. Groups will experience the Alouette River by water and will have the pleasure of learning about the waterway, see its wild animals and gorgeous views. Expeditions encourage team-bonding as well as increase individuals’ self-esteem.
Onetime Expedition
Groups come out for one two hour session that includes 90 minutes of paddling. Half and full day bookings are available with longer paddles and a hot dog barbeque.
Boats, paddles and PFD’s are provided.
Three Expeditions
Groups will come out for three two hour sessions that include 90 minutes of paddling. Sessions can be booked back to back days or spread out over three weeks.

Custom Expeditions
The Alouette Paddling Club can also do custom group outings. This would include longer day trips, Widgeon Creek tours, Hayward Lake, etc.
